• The day for the tea ceremony exams arrived. 
• Yi Rou is the first one to perform the tea ceremony. 
• Xin Yu's tea ceremony is average. However, when asked the question as to why she wants to study tea, her answer is unique from the rest.
• Meanwhile, Cheng Feng is reviewing the list of applications, and sees Xin Yu's application. He smiles to himself as he will be able to see her soon.
• After the tea ceremony exams, Xin Yu heads back to her stall to sell spicy eggs.
• Zheng Hao's sister convinces her brother to go to buy food with him, which happens to be Xin Yu's stall. 
• An argument is instigated between the two when Zheng Hao has no phone to refund to Xin Yu, and can only offer money as compensation. Zheng Hao's watch accidentally falls into the pot and both scramble for it. The watch is broken, and Xin Yu offers to repair it for him.
• Xin Yu receives express mail. After reading it is she is excited to find out she has passed the exam. In order to prepare for the exam, Xin Yu is too busy to look after her store. Luckily she has Shi Tou older brother to help her look after the shop.
• Cheng Feng reviews the list of candidates who have passed. He is pleased to know that he will be able to see Xin Yu again soon.
• The next step is to organize the groups. Meng Yun (Yi Rou's friend) tricks Xin Yu into forming a group with her, but cancels at the last minute to return to Yi Rou's side.

• Zheng Hao returns home and gives his grandma a hug. He has also bought gifts along for his grandma and sister. His stepmother is ignored and does not receive a gift. His step aunt complains why he is ignoring his aunt.
  
  At this point Zheng Hao's father and Cheng Feng return home, and his father is presented with his gift. He is angry with his gift of coffee, and says that Zheng Hao is not fit to continue with his business. Grandma argues and says that only Zheng Hao (her only grandson) has the right to succeed the business.
• Du Xin Yu is in her bedroom studying her tea books. When her mom is about to come in, she hurriedly hides the book, and pretends she is doing exercise on her bed. After mom leaves the room, she takes the book out again. This time the mom comes in and catches her red handed. Xin Yu is surprised as her mom praises her for studying (was an English book, not tea book whew).
   
• The next day, Cheng Feng and Zheng Hao are on the way to the Tea Garden to attend the tea exam. Zheng Hao does not want to go, and hops off the car.
• Xin Yu waits for the bus, but as there are too many people, she decides to go to the next stop. While running across the crosswalk, Cheng Feng who is stopped at the lights sees her. Next second she is gone. He laments that he misses Xin Yu so much, so it must have been his imagination.
• Xin Yu misses the bus, and ends up fighting over a cab with Zheng Hao. They find out they are both going to the same place. Zheng Hao's phone is out of battery, and he pleads with Xin Yu to lend her his phone to save his suicidal friend. He ends up telling off the girl on the other line. Xin Yu watches in astonishment and tries to get her phone back. Zheng Hao asks the taxi driver to stop the taxi, and hops off, taking the phone with him, and the taxi leaves with just Xin Yu.
• In the tea garden Ding Yi Rou is seen to be performing a tea ceremony to audience. She receives rounds of applause and flowers which she gives to Meng Yun (her friend) who happily takes them.
• Xin Yu makes it in time, and hurriedly rushes into the exam room. She accidentally bumps into Yi Rou and is glared at.
• After the results come out, Ding Yi Rou is happy she received first place. Du Xin Yu sees she received the last remaining spot and shouts excitedly. She wants to exchange numbers with others to make new friends, then remembers that her phone is still with Zheng Hao.
• Xin Yu calls Zheng Hao and demands him to give her phone back. He tells her to meet him at a hotel. Unbeknownst to her, he also asked the African girl to meet him there. The African girl and Xin Yu give each other a nasty surprise, and Zheng Hao drives off with laughter.  
• We next see Ding Yi Rou giving a tea ceremony performance which is the second stage of the exam process.

It is very rare to see a drama with the main theme revolving around tea. This drama is about a poor girl and rich guy who fall in love, but must fight for their love due to family background conflicts. The hopeful couples's lives are shrouded in mystery and conflict after conflict as they fight to uncover the truth between the disappearance of the boy's mother, and the girl's father. Even with all the conflict stirring up a storm, love triangles pitch their forks at the couple.

This drama from Mainland China is quite intricate as it talks about the process of making tea from growing the leaves, techniques to pluck tea leaves, and how simple things like type of water, and type of material the pot is made of can impact on the taste of the tea.

Episode 1 Summary

• Du Ming Qiang (Xin Yu's father) is seen to be arguing with Tang Tai Tai (Zheng Hao's mother) in the warehouse about Ming Qiang's tea recipe stolen for use in the business for Tang Wei (Zheng Hao's dad). Ming Qiang storms off in rage, and we are left to see Tang Tai Tai burnt to death in the fire.
• 16 years later we see all grown up Zheng Hao on the run from an African woman who wants to marry him. Left with no where to run, Zheng Hao has now choice but to jump into the pool down below.
  
  Just at that moment Xin Yu is on her way to deliver spicy eggs and is splashed by Zheng Hao. As she is picking up the eggs, the African woman is back on Zheng Hao's tail, and Zheng Hao accidentally pushes Xin Yu into the pool.
  
  Xin Yu goes for a shower, and overhears about the tea discussion by A Fei Tea master. The tea master asks for a volunteer to try the tea, and identify what the tea is. Xin Yu surprises the Tea master with her scent of smell.
• Meanwhile, Zheng Hao's dad and brother are looking for Zheng Hao to attend a conference but are unable to contact him. Finally Cheng Feng is able to contact Zheng Hao who angrily hangs up due to father remarrying another lady and forgetting about his mom. Cheng Feng tells Zheng Hao's dad that he wasn't able to contact him.
  
  
• The conference is starting. Zheng Hao's grandma is very angry because Cheng Feng is there instead of Zheng Hao and does not think of Cheng Feng and his mother as family.
  Li Yue Hua (Zheng Hao's step aunt) rebuts that grandma should treat them like family, as they have given her a grand
• Xin Yu is asked to sit the tea exams. Thinking back to the past Xin Yu feels confused about this as her mother hates tea ever since father disappeared.
• Xin Yu brings back some tea for her mother. Her mother is furious and tells her she should concentrate on going to college. Xin Yu promises her mom, but secretly she is thinking of sitting the tea exam.
• Zheng Hao's father receives a call from grandma who is angry why Zheng Hao did not appear. Meanwhile Zheng Hao is at his mother's grave and is angry because his father forgot his mother's death date anniversary. He vows to take revenge.
